Seems I’m the bearer of bad news lately. Portal 2, sequel to the 2007 original has been pushed even further into the future, expecting to hit the gaming world at the end of April next year.
The exact dates are April 20th 2011 for Northern America and Australia, with the European crowd getting the game two days later on April 22nd. This is the second time the game has been delayed, having originally having its dates changed to February despite originally being penned for the end of 2010.
The company behind the Portal series, Valve, called it the “shortest delay in Valve history”, which is one way to look at it I guess.
The game is set to take the series to brand new territory, adding a co-op multiplayer mode where players take control of two robots named Blue and Orange. Single player is also meant to be twice as long as the original, and seeing as game length was pretty much the only niggle people had with the first game, this is set to be a corker.
