Despite the consistent rumours that Activision will eventually charge players for Call of Duty’s outrageously popular online multiplayer, Activision’s Publishing CEO, Eric Hirshberg has confirmed that “we will never, ever charge for the multiplayer”.
While I’m sure the PR folk at Activision won’t be exactly over the moon with Hirshberg’s set in stone response, I’m sure fans of the series (who isn’t?) will be more than happy at the news that Call of Duty won’t be costing them anymore money…..well, not for the foreseeable future at least.
