Game publisher Activision have announced a Nintendo Wii version of the next installment in the shooting giant series, Call of Duty. Modern Warfare 3 will be available for the Nintendo Wii “so as not to leave any of the community out of the excitement”, says Eric Hirshberg, a publishing executive for Activision.
It has not been revealed who will be porting the upcoming first person shooter to the Nintendo gaming platform but it is rumoured Treyarch, who were responsible for the Wii ports of Black Ops and Modern Warfare will be bringing Warfare 3 to the Wii masses.
The 8th of November will see video game nerds and FPS addicts everywhere terrorising game retailers the world over, pre-orders are already being and according to game retailer GAME, Modern Warfare 3 is already looking to outsell Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2 for the Xbox 360, PC and PS3.
Tom Devine, a GAME representative has stated “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders are already tracking significantly ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops at the same time last year”. Those statistics alone are already starting to silence the critics who said the Call of Duty craze that has swept the gaming masses in the past few years is about to die down, and die down it certainly will not for the considerable future.
