Nintendo 3DS price drop will see first sub £100 3DS

Nintendo today announced plans to drop the suggested retail price of its portable Nintendo 3DS system to £115.

The new price is effective tomorrow, Aug 12th 2011. For anyone who was on the fence about buying a Nintendo 3DS, this is a huge motivation to buy now.

Keep an eye on Sainsbury’s as they usually take off the VAT, so potentially you could be in for a sub £100 3DS.

Gurdeep Hunjan, Sainsbury’s games buyer, comments: “If you’re looking for a Nintendo 3DS, this is a great way to secure one now and save some cash.”

With a new Flame Red version 3DS system launching alongside the new Star Fox 64 3D game, shoppers have three distinct colours to choose from.

With major upcoming releases in the Star Fox, Pokémon and Mario series, in addition to downloadable offerings from Nintendo eShop, Nintendo Video and Netflix, the system offers new and fun experiences to owners on a daily basis.
