EA have today confirmed that their new Syndicate game will be released on the 21st of Feburary, 2012 in the United States, with it hitting our shores and the rest of Europe three days later. The title will be available for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Microsoft Windows.
Do you remember the original Syndicate game? I do, I loved it, in fact I blew the cobwebs off it a few weeks back and it was still the same game that I remembered it to be, challenging, clever and downright brilliant. EA’s remake will, as you’d expect, have some difference from the original but overall they are aiming to stay true to the the original in a lot of ways. EA say they are aiming “to provide a challenging action shooter for today’s gamers as well as fans of the original”. Personally, I can’t see it staying terribly true to its original seeing as the original was a top-down sandbox shooter, where as the remake will be a first-person shooter following missions. Hmm, not convinced.
The remake will take place in the year 2069, where you will play as Mile Kilo, an agent from Eurocorp Syndicate. That’s all we know so far, but one thing’s for certain, Syndicate is back baby, and it feels good.
