Predicting the PlayStation Plus ‘free’ games for November 2015

Predicting the PlayStation Plus 'free' games for November 2015

As I expected (and was widely anticipated) Super Meat Boy was added to the Instant Game Collection as a ‘free’ title in October, but none of the other titles I had forecast were featured (although to be fair I had shortlisted Chariot.  Still, it was a partial success and one I’ll hope to improve on for my November predictions.

First things first: a supposedly leaked screenshot appears to suggest that Battlefield Hardline and The Evil Within will feature in November.  The Evil Within is currently in the Halloween sale making it unlikely to feature and it seems too soon for such a high-profile game like Hardline to feature so I’m going to assume this is a faked newstory.

The aforementioned Halloween sale would also rule out a number of other horror titles like Alien: Isolation, The Darkness 2, Wolfenstein, Murdered: Soul Suspect, Dying Light, Outlast, The Order 1886, Bayonetta and any titles from the Resident Evil or Castlevania franchises.

Looking towards the release date calendar shows a few upcoming titles due for release on November 6th with Awesomenauts Assemble!, Tiny Troopers: Joint Ops and World Poker Championship all possible contenders on PS4 but nothing likely jumps out for Vita or PS3 (it would be foolish to even consider Black Ops 3).

So all that’s left to do is make some educated guess as what else could be included. The rather brilliant Crypt of the Necrodancer still doesn’t have a release date which I find slightly suspicious while the 2D platformer Axiom Verge has been out for over six months on PS4 and seems to fit the profile of a PS Plus title. South Park: The Stick of Truth seems long overdue for inclusion while Dyad and From Dust are more conservative options. Rounding out my guess for the Vita is puzzle title Baboon.

PS4 predictions:

Axiom Verge

Tiny Troopers: Joint Ops

Crypt of the Necrodancer (cross-buy)

PS3 predictions:

South Park: The Stick of Truth

From Dust

Vita predictions:

Crypt of the Necrodancer (cross-buy)

Next week we’ll see if I’ve managed to get any right myself.  In the meantime please leave your predictions in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
