Square Enix’s Yoshinori Kitase has today hinted that the latest iteration of Final Fantasy 7, Remake, is unlikely to debut during 2016 following a recent interview with Famitsu.
“I believe that this year will still be a year of preparations for Final Fantasy VII Remake,” said Kitase-san. “I’d like to create a new kind of value for the hardware that is the PlayStation 4 for our next announcement.”Despite not revealing an official period regarding the title’s release, its highly unlikely that the game will make its multiplatform debut during 2016, but will rather debut during 2017.
For those who are unaware, Final Fantasy 7 Remake will see gamers take to the dystopian land of Midgar, in which players will be imbued with a number of new weapons, across several characters, in an attempt to aid the city’s Eco Terrorist group, and eliminate their pursues.
