Predicting the PlayStation Plus ‘free’ games for July 2016

Predicting the PlayStation Plus 'free' games for November 2015

Last month’s apparent link of the PS4 titles to be added to the Instant Game Collection turned out to be true, meaning I got two of my predictions correct at least. However the rest of the games hadn’t really been on my radar previously, yet with E3 still fresh in the memory and Xbox adding bonus title to their rival Games With Gold service I fully expect a (slightly) higher caliber of additions in July.

With no appropriate new games due to be released on July 5th I’ll move straight onto recent sales to take certain titles out of the reckoning. The recent EA sale rules out a selection of franchises such as FIFA, Battlefield, Need for Speed, Plants vs Zombies, Star Wars Battlefront, Burnout, Crysis, Dante’s Inferno, Dead Space, DeathSpank, Shank, Dragon Age, Madden, Mass Effect, Medal of Honor and Warp. Meanwhile looking at current digital discounts I believe we can also forget about Octodad, Starwhal, Skullgirls, Toren, The Fall, Randall’s Monday and Retro City Rampage.

Moving on then and with no former clues I’ve had to resort to just shortlisting a number of possible candidates for each platform and then hoping for a bit of inspiration. So cast your eyes downwards for my likely suspects…

PS4 – SOMA, The Banner Saga, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Ziggarut, Hand of Fate

PS3 – Alien Isolation, Tokyo Jungle, Enslaved, Ni No Kuni, Skullgirls Encore, Fat Princess, Anarchy Reigns, Puzzle Agent, Trivial Pursuit, Master Reboot

Vita – Tearaway, Terraria, Dustforce, King Oddball, Army Corps of Hell, Epic Mickey 2, Criminal Girls
