Bethesda’s Prey, which was revealed during their E3 press conference as a reboot of their sci-fi series has been confirmed to possess no connection to Human Head’s cancelled Prey 2, which saw gamers take control of a bounty hunter in an alien society.
When asked about the title’s key gameplay elements Bethesda’s Pete Hines stated that whilst the title will contain some psychological elements, Prey is aiming to be “an immersive first-person action game” rather than a sci-fi horror title. “There’s a reason why this space station is the way it is that you find yourself on, there’s a reason for the ecology for the aliens that you see and are fighting and trying to survive.” he continued
Prey is slated to debut on PS4, Xbox one and PC on an as yet unannounced date.
