Gorgeous 2D platform adventure Owlboy soars onto PS4 this February

After 10 years of development, Owlboy is finally launching 13th February, 2018 on PS4! Working on Owlboy has been a highly personal journey for us. Each year of delay was a new blow to our hope of ever seeing the game released. You guys are the sole reason why we’ve finally been able to push through!

We decided early to start showing the game around. The first appearance of Owlboy was in 2008, when we launched the initial trailer. We are still humbled by the response we got. It changed our lives, and we decided to start traveling to show as much as we could of our work. Each time we witnessed someone pick up the controller and start playing our game, we forgot about all those years of fading hope.

Owlboy was created with the previous generation of consoles in mind, and once the PS4 was announced, we had to make sure that the game still looked brilliant. About half-way through development we decided to up the resolution of the game, so it will still look great in full HD and even 4K.

One thing that has stuck with us is the great feedback we’ve gotten while on our travels. You can look at the old footage of Owlboy and easily spot the changes it’s been going through over the years. Each time we visit a new convention or an expo, we return home with a scrapbook full of useful feedback. This is exactly what we hope to gain more of when we launch our game to console for the first time ever.

Owlboy would have never been what it is today without your feedback. Without the kick you guys gave our morale, we might have never finished a project like this at all. When the game launches on 13th February, we hope you will let us know your thoughts on it.
