FIFA 19 avoided trigger-happy soldiers, world-weary cowboys and axe-wielding gods to secure the end of year top spot as the most downloaded game on PS4’s digital storefront in 2018.
Black Ops 4, Red Dead Redemption 2 and God of War followed close behind, with a handful of older releases, including Grand Theft Auto V, Gang Beasts, Rocket League and Need for Speed: Payback also holding firm in the top 20.
On PlayStation VR, rhythm action slasher Beat Saber topped a strong year for the platform, with Astro Bot Rescue Mission, Moss and Firewall: Zero Hour also making their mark on the download chart. And the battle royale genre demonstrated its strength in 2018 on the DLC chart, with Fortnite securing an incredible eight spots in the DLC top 20 for the year.
